Warning: fiddling with computers is extremely habit-forming and may be contagious.
Beware of EBAY - May 9, 2009 - Buyers need to be aware that Ebay is very Seller oriented. Also, the buyer protection coverage has some tricky details and the level of Seller monitoring is very lax. It is extremely difficult to file a complaint against a Seller. Ebay may be fine for small ticket items, but I have personally experienced outright seller fraud on two big ticket items and advise that you exercise EXTREME caution when making purchases of big ticket items from a seller that does not have 98% or better feedback on similar big ticket items. Avoid big ticket items from a seller that normally sells small ticket items regardless of the level of feedback. Beware of AVANQUEST - May 9, 2009. This is a software company that creates and sells various software utilities. I don't care much for the quality of their products, but that's not my main complaint. They don't honor their advertised rebates. Three months after submitting a rebate request I got a notice that my rebate was being processed. That was 3 months ago. Having now waited for over 6 months, I do not have high expectations. Why don't I submit a complaint on their website? Have you ever seen a data entry form with no way to enter data? If you visit their website you will.
