Flying over in the wind

the sea bird goes unnoticed

to observe with sparkling eyes below

two children laughing and playing in the sand.

Look! see the pretty sea bird.

What fun to fly!

With a smile they wonder

what if we had wings,

and then remembering more important things,

off they run together,

hand in hand beneath the sun

and the sparkling eyes

of the sea bird.
